Translated from Richard Wilhelm's German (1924)
The Judgment
Approach has great success.
Persistence is favorable.
When the eighth month comes, there is misfortune.
The Image
Above the lake is the earth: the image of approach.
So the noble one is inexhaustible in their intent to teach
and boundless in bearing with and protecting the people.
First line, nine
Joint approach. Persistence brings good fortune.
Second line, nine
Joint approach. Good fortune. Everything is favorable.
Third line, six

If one comes to feel sorrow over it, one will be without fault.
Fourth line, six
Complete approach. No fault.
Fifth line, six
Wise approach. That is fitting
for a great prince. Good fortune.
Top line, six
Magnanimous approach. Good fortune. No fault.
