The Judgment
Peace. The small departs, the great arrives. Good fortune. Success.
The Image
Heaven and earth come together: the image of peace. So the ruler divides and brings to completion the course that heaven and earth run, fosters and orders the gifts of heaven and earth, and in this way supports the people.
First line, nine
When ribbon grass is pulled up, the turf comes with it. Each according to its kind. Undertakings bring good fortune.
Second line, nine
Bearing the uncultivated with gentleness, resolutely fording the river, not neglecting what is far away, taking no account of one's companions: so one may succeed in walking in the middle.
Third line, nine
No plain that is not followed by a slope, no departure that is not followed by a return. Whoever remains persistent in danger is without fault. Do not lament this truth; enjoy the blessing you still have.
Fourth line, six
They flutter down, not presuming on wealth, together with their neighbor, guileless and sincere.
Fifth line, six
The ruler Yi gives his daughter away in marriage. That brings blessing and exalted good fortune.
Top line, six
The rampart falls back into the moat. Use no armies now. Proclaim your commands in your own city. Persistence brings shame.
